What is the weight of the Boat, it must be very light to Jump out of the Hole with a 21, and 6000 rpm sounds a little high. I guess it could be Ventilating, which would account for the High Rpm.

As in Booster Cables? A bit of Overkill, and a risk of lots of Sparks if they Short Out, which near Gasoline is not a Good Thing. Just use some 16 Gauge Wire to and from a 12 volt Battery.
