    2000 4 Stroke Mercury 40hp No Spark #2 cylinder

Very easy to convert RMS voltage to peak voltage. Just simple math. What is the complete engine ID?

    Throttle position sensor

TPS would be more likely between the two. Simple enough to measure input and output voltages to and from the TPS. Then make sure the output voltages can find their way to the ECU.

69K is the prefix for an LF225. You can see this on the engine ECU. Then add the X for the shaft length. Followed by the serial numbers. Complete engine ID would be 69KX 1007840. Now go to the Yamaha USA website. Open the parts catalog. Type in the engine ID in the search box. It will take...

    Routing of vacuum hoses

There has been no change with respect for the for the pressure regulator to sense intake manifold pressure. The hose not being connected would result in fuel pressure being too high. I will see what hose routing info I can find.

    1987 70ETLH not charging

Maybe I said it poorly. I am saying that there should be no electrical connection between any lighting coil wire and the block.

    1987 70ETLH not charging

Any internal resistance within the meter and the probes should be taken into account. But perhaps using the continuity function of the meter might be a better choice.

    1987 70ETLH not charging

Set your meter on AC volts and put one probe on one green wire and the other probe on the other green wire. It is good that you are reading 0 ohms from either of the two leads to ground.

    1987 70ETLH not charging

You are so far off I would guess that it is the lighting coil. D Did you measure it for ohms? Did you measure it to make sure it was not connected to the block?
