69 Johnson 60hp hydroelectric drive starts in reverse

On the 3 Cylinder that would happen as it used a standard type 2 Tooth Clutch Dog, but on the V4 Cases I doubt it would have, as they use Ramp Type Clutch Dogs, and would likely make a bunch of Clacking Sounds

1973 Evinrude 65HP, wanting to add trim and tilt

1973 was the first year that OMC offered Power Trim as a Dealer installed Option. Being that the Design was discontinued in the late 70s, means you are likely going to have to find a Donor Motor, that has a functioning Unit. A C&C unit is likely a more viable option, and much easier to install...

Apple deleted most of my Mp3s from my phone, I had about 8000 songs, and now it is down to 1500. I prefer CDs and in a pinch, USB Flash Drives, but the latter are a PIA to navigate

My two Flagship Nikons(not my picture, or Cameras, but I do have both of them), 40 yrs separate them. The F3 with the Motor Drive could do a blistering 6 frames per second. The Z9, can do up to 120 frames per second.

I put the Bow of that Evinrude underwater in 77 with a Following Sea, came over the Crest of a White Cap, chopped the Throttle a bit too much and a Wall of Water came over the Windshield. Took on close to 40 gallons of water.

    Nobody fishing?

I haven't fished since the moment I was told I had to clean what I caught. That was in 1974. I will go to the Supermarket, give someone there a package of frozen Fish, and tell them to toss it to me, that way I can honestly say that I caught it

I was selling it. However I did flip/roll one my dads boats back in 1976. Mildly rough with white caps, and while running in the Troughs, one caught the boat and rolled over. I was only a couple of hundred feet from shore, and it was quite Shallow. I picked my self out of the water, and saw a...

1976 Evinrude 35HP water leaking from front of exhaust housing?

Welcome to iboats Those are Drains for the Exhaust Housing(Exhaust Housing is filled with water, to cool the Exhaust Tube, and to silence the Motor), water coming out of them is normal. You usually don't see it when in a boat, cause a low speed they are under water, and at speed, most people...

Add telltale pee hole to 1965 Johnson 75 HP

Don't toss the Oil out, if sealed in the Tubes/Bottles it will be fine, Give it a Good Shake, in case the Additives have settled. I'm sorry that you feel I was gruff, but to me, you think you have a Solution to a Problem that doesn't exist. These engines have a Stat that is fully open by 145...
