Think of info from a guy who sharpens chains the same as info coming from a forum. Someone is correct and it may not be your first thought.
I gree with excess heat will create wear, just not on sharpness, more bar wear
Just my opinion
Thanks @bruceb58 for finding the Shakespeare 414 shim kit
That does a 5* tilt so be worth a shot to get it and I can sand if I need a bit less

There looks to be about 10* between each notch. Would kind of like to move it out maybe 3*, moving it a one notch you can see what happens. Might only need about a extra 1/8 to 1/16 on top to work
Appreciate that Bruce, might do that but thinking of trying a simple solution.
They make plastic putty knives sort of things. I have a couple hanging on above the bench. Should be able to cut a piece out of it and make a shim (nothing to maybe 1/16) should do it

No, run in/out with no issues
Might have issues reattaching drive, but connect long side then push down until short side lines up
Don't fully understand the comment, but in most cases it's not good to fix issues with everything back together
Is it you can only reach 4000 rpm then it would be over propped which would lug the motor. If your just cruising at 4000 then this would not be an issue. I hardly ever go above 4000 and can go as high as 6000
