    Shift Linkage?

    A buddy has a Bayliner with a 3.0 Mercruiser. Problems with shifting prompted some adjustment of the shift cable. Adjusted one way and it goes into reverse just fine. The other way forward just fine. But can't have both. Suggestions???

    So the pundits here say synthetic is better than mineral oil. I don't want to debate that. What i want to know is if semi-synthetic is better than mineral oil, or worse than synthetic, half way in between or a total waste of money.
