2, 3, 4, even 5 Props with the same Dia and Pitch can, and often deliver as many different Results as there are Props. Reasonably accurate Predictions of results are only possible when the Brand and Model of a Replacement Prop is the Same as the one being replaced. Change the Brand or the Model...

Clutch Fan to Electric Conversion, 1997 Suburban

Is the AC Compressor Short Cycling? Maybe there is a bunch of stuff that made it thru the Condenser, and has taken Residence on the Front of the Radiator? That can certainly Impede Airflow at Idle and Low Speeds.

The FICHT Engines(the Problem Children), which were the Grandparents of the e-tec, rarely had any issues when run at WOT. Use of BRP XD50 or XD100, especially the XD100 are designed with DI Engines in mind, and have copious amounts of Detergents in them. I have not seen any Service Bulletin...

Help Me Identify Old Super Sea Horse

There has been some flexing going on between the Transom and the Splash Well(black circles). Missing Bolts(blue circles) certainly aren't helping any Questionable Bracing. This area, has likely let a lot of water in You might think I am trying to rain on your Parade, but this a boat/motor...

The Hydro-Electric Shift was a well engineered Design, shifted lightning fast. fast enough, that 50+ yrs later, a lot of the units still in use, still have the original Clutch Dogs. Wrong Oil or Water in the Oil, would create problems. I prefer it to the Hydro-Mechanical, as those are prone to...

    Boat is slow

First thing when it comes to tuning a 2 Stroke outboard, forget most of what you know about tuning a 4 Stroke Car/Truck engine. Finding a Shop to work on an older engine is like trying to drill teeth without Anesthetic
