    Dwell is not .022. that is the rough gap. Dwell is 34 degrees If dwell is off, coil saturation time is off and timing is off. I would tighten your rough gap to .018-0.020 and it will run a bit better. You probably did not file the points, so your rough gap is already different than what...

    Water pressure is a better indicator of issues than a temp gauge. If water pressure goes low, or to zero, you will see it on the gauge long before the temp gauge would move
