    Propane

Under law, commercial sales cannot fill above 85%, with 80% the recomended...if it expands in the hot days it just blows out the popit valve and you loose it !! I never fill mine in the summer, wait until fall, usually get a better price in october/ november. When you buy over 1000 gallons at...

1989 Tracker Deep V transom peeled off from top board

When you drill the hokes, look at the wood chips, if light colored and dry wood is good, but if wet, dark colored, often have a smell, the wood is rotting. Once you find how solid or not the wood is, remove your outboard and start taking things apart. Rivets can be drilled out, screws removed...

Need guidance on Prop pitch and Power, 78 Johnson 55hp 55EL78S

Been on this forum for many years, I can assure you most of the regulars on here will not steer you wrong ! Racerone is one of the good guys, he works on these things for a living. It sounds bad when you challenge an opinion that you ask for. By all means research, the more you know the...

1989 Tracker Deep V transom peeled off from top board

At one time the tracker hulls had a lifetime warranty, is yours one of them? Possible to drill a couple holes from the inside into the wood to see if it is rotted? Your main goal here is to see if the wood is bad, before considering other options

    Adding a Splashwell

Then you have a great start to make your own. Keep in mind the well doesn't need to be big. On my old mirro the well was less 5" deep and stuck out about 6" from the transom, didn't even cover the entire width, just the cut out for the drop down. I never liked storing my fuel tank back there...

    Propane

Been using propane for many years, also own my own tanks, but I have found that it doesn't take much change in weather to cause a big difference in usage!! I buy from the lowest bidder in my area, my two tanks last me all year with a small reserve in case of extreme use. There are a few...

    Adding a Splashwell

Can be trickey depending on how transom supports are attached ... Might need to visit a sheet metal fab shop if you don't have sheetmetal bending/ fabricating experience. There are also some generic units thst can be bought and modified to fit. Pics of yourvtransom might help ur to make...

Overheat alarm at idle... I think??

First thing to do is get your hands on a " factory service manual", forget the aftermarket manuals as they are only good for spare toilet paper !! The manual will describe what the beeps mean and what to check. Each motor can be a little different. Or...you can throw parts at it and hope...

    Bimini install measurements?

Review the video again, pretty simple to follow. Poles should be marked, assemble then sit on the gunwales and decide where you want it. Rule of thumb is a three bow is a 6' long top and the hinge point is usually in the center ( 3' ). Depending on where you want the top to rest when not in...
