    From the wear shading around the ports and the crappy job someone did honing. I would bore it .030 and slap a WSM kit in it. Install new deflectors, t-stat/poppets and impeller.

    Someone all ready replaced 1 piston as it .020. Typical cheap DIY repair, fixed the damaged cylinder and put the other 3 old pistons back in with rings.. Just a ticking time bomb as when other cylinder/s fail and looks as it as went off. Need to bore and replace all 4 pistons

    You need to test when its broke. Invest in a timing light and when it acts up test all 4 spark leads for spark. Could be a coil dropping out under heat soak.

    Guess you didnt read the OP posts Sea.... Sam you need to look in the lower unit for a freeze damage crack or area thats diverting water flow from lower unit.

    Dont waste your time on above post as cleaning or a stick isnt going to help anything. The passage ways in powerhead would clog way before any build up in lower unit would effect cooling. If motor has ever overheated it can blow the powerhead gasket causing this. Also if watertube housing...
