Trailer Question - want to drill a new hole into the frame to move crossbar supporting wobble roller

When you drill the larger hole be sure your drill is going slower than when you drilled the smaller 1/4" hole. Squirt some oil or wd40 on while drilling to keep the drill bit cooler.

    Johnson vs Merc

Sounds like a lot of hp for a 15' tri hull ??? Tri hulls haven't been made for many years so the odds of having a hull with internal rot on stringers and transom is quite high, unless you are currently rebuilding this hull. Not tryin to burst your bubble here, just want you to be prepared....

    Minn-kota 24v 4 wire charger

In my opinion, that would not be a safe/ best way to charge batteries. An onboard charger with leads directly to the batteries would be more effiecient and safer !!!

    No Redline

Adjust your prop to reach max wot rpm with the lightest load you ever run, then when you run a normal load you will be good to go...that is how I have done it for years!! If you tow toys or have large loads on ocassion, then have a spare prop with 2" less pitch to swap over.

40hp '67 super seahorse top speed.

Check compression on motor...if motor is running at its peak, what rpm are you getting at wot ?? Anything else is a guess, you need rpm at wot on a proper running motor !! Trihulls have drag from there design, no way around it. It won't be as fast as a tinnie with the same motor. Check your...

    pulls right at wot

Your friend is correct, weight balance can make a big difference in steering !! Keep adjusting the tab, you will find the sweet spot. As far as the steering wheel being off....I understand, that would drive me nuts, may not hurt anything, but would still drive me nuts !!

    New prop for my boat

Due to their design, pontoons take a lot of Hp to create speed....doesn't seem like it should, but that is the way it works. If you see pontoons pulling tubers and other toys theyvhave big engines!! Near me there is a family with a big toon, three logs, probably 28 ft long, and they pull toys...
