    Yes, braided is more difficult to splice, but when it is done right it looks so cool, gives a more finnished look than the three strand....at least in my opinion....

    Many different grades of aluminum some are flexible. Many of todays semi trailers are aluminum and rated to carry more than a steel trailer...many suspension arms on todays vehicles are forged aluminum, just as strong as there steel counterparts, just lighter in weight.

    Hate the 3 strand line as it is hard on the hands and seems to be much stiffer...just my opinion though, much prefer the braided lines which are typically more costly!! I guess my old soft hands deserve a little comfort...

    While somone might *****, no one is going to take your trailer away from you for having the ID in the wrong spot...having owned numerous trailers over the years many have been marked in various places, though most have been on the left side ( drivers side), but not always in clear view!!!

    Seems like once they start rusting they go fast! Sounds like salt water might be your issue. Not sure I would trust it hauling my precious boat. If a serious oroblem would occur, not sure your insurance co would approve if you knowingly used a rusted out trailer....

    Yep...gotta measure, boat needs supported all the way to the very back, if the boat hangs over the trailer it is not properly supported !!
