a lock keeps honest men honest. it will not stop a thief. you could do a boot as well as a lockable pintle draw bar. for my RV and the Rogue, I have a lock that goes in the hitch, as well as I cable lock the wheels to the axle. it wont stop them, hopefully it slows them down enough they move...

How often to replace points ignition?

the only reason to service points every spring is the film of corrosion that forms on the contacts over the winter when the boat sits for 6-8 months. if it wasnt for that, points will probably go 3+ years on a boat prior to needing servicing due to normal contact erosion and cam block wear...

A friend needs a new below deck fuel tank. It's the belly style I believe.

West marine prices are double of dedicated marine supply houses. save money, buy from the tank manufacturers or the supply houses I would not go down from an 80 gallon tank.

    7.5 mercury comet/lightening setting 30 years

No. there are enough sights like AOMCI and old mercs with real mercury manuals. Clymer, haynes, seloc manuals all have wrong information

    7.5 mercury comet/lightening setting 30 years

raw water impeller (need to measure your driveshaft BEFORE you order the raw water kit, as the small mercs use either one of two diameter drive shafts .438" or .456". may need a carb kit service the lower unit - seals, oil, etc.

    Dash got ripped out!

I personally like analog gauges as you can see all engine functions at a 1 second glance vs having to take your eyes off the horizon and stare at a monitor to read and comprehend the data from vessel view
