    Index the flywheel and check timing on each cylinder. The idle staying high and runs like crap makes me lean toward a sheared flywheel key

    If the miss is at idle and DVA reading is fine on low speed its not the stator. High speed does switch over till around 2000RPM in switchbox.

    Going to disagree.... I have been using the caged for years and no problems(so has Merc) and no you need not use washers. All the Hi-Po motors use em and even Wiseco supplys them. Use em and go.

    The leading edges are burred...you can have the prop touched up/trued for around $40

    You definitely need to repair/replace the prop as it will cause too much loss of thrust. RPM will be high and speed low and both readings will be incorrect.

    Epoxy will not hold...either weld or replace. Use a TIG .

    It is called a reed clamp. it is not sold separate on Junkrude motors ..only as a assembly.

    Housing also holds propshaft carrier in position via spanner nut. This damage can cause nut to jump threads and allow water or carrier with shaft /gear and prop to exit housing in a full reverse thrust mode. Fix it now or replace housing. Replacement will require special tools and set-up,

    Because its a water pump indicator..only shows water pump is working, not a test of cooling system.

    I have 1999 Mercury EFI 150 and the bottom end has clunk when accelerating not every time. Also the rpms have increased from 5200 to about 5800 .

    Check your prop hub if a 1 piece ...
