remove the carb... think of it as a toilet bowl both work the same way to shut off the filling
turn the carb upside down and blow air in the inlet with your mouth....
if air goes in the inlet the needle and seat assembly are not working properly... fix or replace
make certain the float...

so… with BRP flushing us ETEC owners what and where can I buy a "full open" software and connector cable kit to service my antique 2005 ETEC .
If BRP is going to dump their customers the very least that could be done is to "open up the software" by removing "dealer...

most engines today and many for years on end have had no carbon seals, carbon seal shaft plate , bottom cork seal pushed up by the carbon seal assembly on the drive shaft…etc.. etc...

any suggestions… I am trying to drop the LU by having removed the PH , removing the upper shift rod retaining bolts but now the shift rod won't release pass the shifter and drop down with the LU
tried protecting the threads & tapping/wacking on a bolt face installed on the tip of the shift rod...
went to replace the impeller and found the carbon seal has a chunk of about 15 gone .. missing
so is there anything...cheap to replace these pricy little piece of charcoal best I found was about 30$CDN :mad:

well my C clip holding the glass bowl on the side filter on my 5.5 vanished in my shop :noidea:
if it stays vanished all winter long can I use those lawn mower plastic filter on the pressurized side from the tank to the carb or are these filters strickly to be used on the vacum side...
