    There is an 0-ring seal on the shift rod.----2 seals and an 0-ring on propshaft bearing housing.----2 seals on the the driveshaft below the water pump.----Water pump does not cause oil leaks.-----Some oil leakage out the prop shaft / propeller area is normal for a 2 stroke.

    Many , all mechanical parts interchange.----Electrical parts work the same way but may be different part numbers due to length of wires , eyelets or plug in connecters.

    No ----I do not think gas supply for the carburetor goes to the plastic cover.-----The wee hose from the primer valve ( it is not a pump ) injects fuel when key is pushed in during cranking.----This fuel does not go to the float bowl or metering circuits in the carburetor.

    Considering the cost of a new 4 stroke motor.-----And the required dealer support at $100+ / HR for these electronic / plastic marvels.-----An older inline 6 is a good deal.----Tear it apart.----Inspect everything and with new pistons / rings it will run for years to come.

    It does NOT have a pulse hole at the back !---I do not believe that hole is drilled through on that pump.-------And on that motor I would use a 2 nipple pump and mount it directly over the pulse port on the intake manifold,----Find that just in front of the starter.
