    engine coughs after replaced fuel pump.

    Hello, everyone I have 1964 28 hp 2 cyl, model#28402m. I replaced fuel pump, now the engine keeps on running, except it coughs once in a while. what would be a cause? any hints, info will appreciated. ps, coughs at idling only. Thank you.

    filter bowl emty out fuel and die?

    Hello, every one, I have 1964 evinrude 28 hp, 2cyl starts and runs until a filter bowl runs out of fuel and dies. It will stars & runs if I prime a primer ball again. Is that a sign of bad fuel pump?. any inffo will be apreciated. Model# 28402M.

    why fuel squirts out of a carb when keep squeezing primer ball? Carb had been cleaned and installed a new kit . motr runs when choke pull manually for a short time then have to prime agian to get it started and running. thank you.

    Ignition coil Measurement?

    Hi, I have a suspect ignition coil. How many ohms should get when i put ohm meter test leads on both terminals? It is for 28hp 2cyl evinrude. any ideas ? Thank you.

    Evinrude 1964 28hp will not start

    Evinrude, Moldel# 28402M, replaced condensors,points adjusted to .02spec took carburator apart soak cleaned and replaced with carb rebuild kit. Also new spark plugs gapped to .03, give a try had a few of back fires and started For 2 second and now just crank. Thank you.

    Lower unit?

    Removed lower unit from 1964 28 hp. do not see o-Ring on top end of driveshaft. Is it possible stuck in side the engine? How many seals and o-rings I need to replce with impeller? Manual shows 1 o-Ring and 1 seal on top only. Thank you
