    You can try tightening the transom plate bolts if you can get to them but, even if the leak slows down or stops, your transom is most likely rotting and will continue to do so.     There should be a check valve at the fuel line fitting on the tank. Basically a ball and a spring mechanism. I've found them stuck closed in older boats that have been sitting around for awhile.

    It's on the transom of a 1987 Dixie Bluefin 21. It has an offshore bracket and I just hung an Evinrude 200 on it. Dixie did make a lot of boats with a sterndrive but this one is a full transom with the bracket.

    Engine height on Offshore repower.

    Thanks for all the replies and advice guys. Seeing as I don't have the money for a jack plate and not gonna drill additional holes in the bracket, I'll go with the lowest hole on the engine which will be 2 1/4" above and call it good. Thanks again. Tim
