    The corvette kits work well, amazing the difference. I always end up fiddling a bit to get the centering adjustment correct. Lube definitely helps on the ball stud.

    New steering systems don't really cost much and with age, they probably could use a refresh also. and eliminate the NLA cable issue plus get that like new feeling from the steering.

    Bondo is dead on. I do find dropping my trim tabs when slow motoring helps a bit. Just learn to trust the wander.

    Nice thing about converting a boat for diving, the ladder on the swim platform on my boats all reach the ground when on trailer.

    50 Amps is probably full fielded. Agree, check battery or corroded connections.

    Single axle or dbl

    Need to look at weight of boat and make sure trailer is rated for it. A single axle is sometimes easier to maneuver than a tandem axle.

    21ft Thompson, strip to bare hull, Complete rebuild with a few modifications. Complete overhaul of all mechanicals and complete rewire. Pretty big project.

    I shoot rustoleum gloss black with hardener. Looks pretty dang spiffy.

    Sounds like it. Is there any play in bearings or steering linkage?
