    is it OK to run my 305 Chevy motor with out the outer drive in place?i am working on lower unit. and need more money to finish.mean time i want to keep up on the engine adjustments and repairs. should i not rev the motor ,even briefly? it is an omc drive 19 87.

    what to look for

    35 hp mercury was cutting out at idle or low speed! replaced just about every elec part with known good spare parts. with meter testing same. only to find a bad key switch grounding out????
