    The ones I am finding are about 1mm wider at the snap ring groove. This probably needs to be the exact same, right?

    I bought one of the u joints from the list in the sticky thread. Got the old ones out and noticed they don't look the same and are not the same size. The caps are the same. Is this going to be a problem? New on the left, old on the right.

    Does it matter that ago these u joints seem to have the zirk in a different place? They are in between the cross instead of in the middle of the body. Some are on the bearing cap (moog 246).

    Me too. I might rebuild the carb anyway just to be sure. Is it possible the fluid in the intake was the remnants of fogging oil or something? It definitely smelled similar to gas but a little different. I wondered about that

    What annoy in the winter? Isn't it recommended to keep the tank full to avoid condensation? Or empty, but i have a 75 gallon tank that would be difficult to time correctly for an empty tank. Hopefully i don't need too either. shouldn't be gas since i put stabilizer and fresh fuel in the fall...

    Got it started by spraying gas in the intake with a spray bottle. Ran beautifully for 10 minutes until I turned it off. Accelerator pump maybe? Carb need rebuilt? So not sure why there was standing fuel in the intake...I will check later today when it sits for a few hours
