    1998 Johnson 175 lower unit leak

    I changed the lower unit gear lube today. The old oil looked fine, no water, not milky. However, I saw what looks like a slow leak at the seam. (See pics) Is this as bad as it looks? Does it mean I need to drop the lower unit and install a sealer gasket kit?
