    I’ve been stopped by dnr more times than I can count, and they’ve never said a word about my boat letters. Mine have always been ok I think so no issues, but never heard of them caring about this in Indiana…fishing without a license you’d better not get caught complete different story.

    Thanks for the information, sounds like I’ve already got WAY more money invested in this motor than it’s worth, not great to hear. I’ll join the aomci and try to learn more. I have no desires to turn a profit doing this. I just like turning wrenches and making something out of nothing.

    plumbers tape would be my first go to for this. How would a product like blue monster fair on an outboard motor? I have only ever used it in residential applications. or a marine version?

    That part has been my problem. It was basically “jammed” and I’ve somehow freed it up. I believe my motor will Properly once that pinion is replace in the throttle. I was going to use some grease/lube to ensure it doesn’t stick again. Still have plans to remove flywheel to inspect later today...
