    So I gap my pints at 22 and the dwell read 55 !!!!!! WTF and then I closed the gap and it did not help. Another thing I noticed was the lobes are not sharp the are rounded it that normal on a merc?

    So if the when you check for spark are you removing sparkplug re-attaching the plug wire and then grounding the plug and looking for spark on the tip of the plug? Also a dry plug would make me look to see if the lifter is working and if the intake valve is working.....
