    Mercruiser 3.0 135hp. Crank and rods

    I pulled all the plugs and made sure all the oil passages was clear. Also ran brushes down them all to make double sure. The oil pump was still showing 50psi. But no problem to replace it. I just thought when I bought this motor it should last me a good 10 years fishing haha.

    You can catch this grove with your fingernail also. To me this seems like a huge no no. But the machine shop said good to go. Opinions? I gauged bearings before installing everything and used assembly lube. I also primed oil pump about 20 min and rotated motor and primed again.

    Maybe that’s what I was thinking of and got it backwards idk. Good possibility. I guess I’ll do like watermann did and pop rivet some side mounts in. Hopefully won’t need to move my stringers.

    Yeah that’s true. It was just a thought. I could have sworn there was someone that had a factory mounted front mount 4.3. I was trying to find the forum. Maybe I just dreamed it up.

    Had a question Someone maybe able to answer. Has anyone fabbed up a front motor mount for a 4.3 mercruiser like the 3.0? Any reason I shouldn’t do it that way? Not sure if it had to much torque to maybe do it that way? My boat is a 69 Starcraft holiday.
