    KeelShield (which is what I got) recommends a 6' length for your boat. I think I got one a foot longer than recommended because the shore where we beach doesn't drop off very quickly, so I wanted to protect a bit more of the keel.

    Yes. we beach on the Mississippi all the time, and our keel guard has held up really well for many years. Prep is very important, as is following the directions explicitly. But it really sticks well if you do that.

    If you find any little black rubber bits/crumbs in the bilge, that would seal it as the coupler.

    I used both (milled and cut-up CSM) and I found the milled to be a lot easier to work with. I had a decent amount of clumping with the CSM bits.

    Well worth it to buy the service manuals for the drive and motor. They'll save you a ton of money in the long run, if you do some/all of your own work and maintenance.

    Many of us purchased supplies from U.S. Composites. You have to pay shipping and (depending on what your order) hazmat fees, but the prices still end up being competitive. And you know you're getting fresh product.

    Epoxy will be the most expensive, polyester will be the least expensive. Your boat was probably built with polyester, so no harm in using that. If you do use epoxy, you don't need 1708. You can use it, but it has CSM stitched to one side (opposite the fabric side) and it will just suck up more...
