    Starter wire guage size

    1973 Merc Tower/Power 135hp. Going to bypass the corroded harness batt wires, and run out the throttle opening straight to the batt for a good contact/ground. Motor is totally rebuilt. 10 guage twisted strand copper OK? Or 8. I have a bunch of 10, and seems wire has gone through the roof...

    Early 50's QD/FD gears the same? (FR?)

    From what I can tell the gearcase/gears are the same in a 10hp QD, and 18hp FD. 5 bolt case, and I think the years are 1955 to 57 the same? Different case in 58 I think. Anyone add a little more knowledge to this? Thanks

    Number of big end Rod rollers QD16 10hp ?

    I found out that a baggie I had, had a defective slit and of course it was the one with the rollers for the Rod big ends on a 1955 Johnson QD 16 10hp. Found that 2 had (at least I hope) had fallen out. I come up with 58 total, 29 per rod. I think this is right, but I just don't know. Any info...
