    I have a 86 searay which i'm installing a 350 vortec engine in. The temp sensor for the gauge won't fit in any of the coolant passages on the intake too big.

    The manifold i got for my vortec engine is a dualplane squarebore carb setup. I want to use my quadrajet for the time being and that's a spreadbore. I have a 1 inch thick adapter plate that will allow me to mount the quadrajet. Will this cause any performance issues?

    I rebuilt my quadrajet 4bbl carb off a 1986 mercruiser 350 chevy small block carb numbers are mercruiser 1347-8292 number on carb is 17080561 when i took the carb apart there was no spring under the power piston. the diagram shows one. Are some built without it?
