    where should the trailer rollers be on the boat?

    Currently the boat sits pretty high on the trailer. The trailer rollers are pretty close to the keel. I was thinking of moving the rollers out more towards the outside of the boat which would lower the boat onto the tailer more but i'm worried about not having the rollers closer to the keel

    Currently boat is powered by a single 5.7 liter 4bbl carbed engine which is bolted up to a mercruiser alpha 1 outdrive.The boat loaded is probably pushing close to 6500 lbs.     gimble ring play on a 86 mercruiser alpha drive

    I notice when the drive is straight i can lift the back of the drive up about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch and i c the movement at the gimble ring. if i turn the drive either way just slightly i have no play at all. I have to tear into the gimble housing assembly to fix a slight water leak
