    Torque on prop install

    I just ordered a new prop and bought a prop wrench. After doing so I read the install instructions and saw the prop nut needs to be torqued to 55ft lbs. Why do they sell prop wrenches, I fell like I just wasted $.

    Was this a good choice?

    I have a 16.5 foot runabout with a merc 3.0 140hp. I am currently running a 3 blade 17p prop and at wot I get 32mph. I just ordered the solas 4 blade 19p, I am hoping to be able to plane faster and get 35+mph. After all my research it seemed like the best way to go, agree or disagree. Thanks
