    Do you think a vacuum gage hooked up to a small hole in the doghouse would be a better diagnostic? I think the hole needed to set that up would be far smaller and easily hidden with a button or trim piece. Any change in the gage with the lid shut would be very telling, just my 2 cents...

    Thanks for the link. I have always trailered my boat so corrosion in the future shouldn't be a problem. The worst part of the corrosion was inside the boat strangely enough.

    One question: I checked for voltage at the Mercathode module and have 12 volts on the red wire and the orange wire. I did not measure any voltage between orange and brown, what is the expected result?
