    Remove / inspect shift rod bushing.----Replace o-ring.----Hard to believe a hammer was needed on this rod.-----Install the shift rod.----Assemble and test shifting.

    The port shape and port timing are different on the 93 and newer blocks.----Soon I am going to install a newer block into a 92 and older version.----They run much nicer.

    I would not worry about doing this.------Most 4 stroke engines in pickup trucks have not had this procedure done in 10 years ( 150,000 miles ) either.
