    Thanks Barron, this service manual is a bit more detailed than what I'm using -- I have my timing set at 28, I think it needs to move to 32 at static.

    It doesn't go to maximum "INSTANTLY", I said the throttle responds instantly; when I push on the throttle from neutral to wide open, the motor responds without hesitation. I'm sure I attached video of my acceleration to explain what I meant... My tachometer doesn't work, I'm using a timing gun...

    I'm wondering if my timing is still incorrect. I've tuned it to the first of the 3 notches on my fly wheel, but I wonder if that's what it's supposed to be. I pulled the plugs, grounded, ran at WOT in gear and jumped relay, measured with my timing gun. I believe this is 28 degrees. I could be...

    I've read up on bad out drives, I don't have any symptoms. - Water in gear oil, no - Metal bits in gear oil, no - Clunking during gear shift, no The gears operate real smooth, I can go reverse/forward really well.

    If I go from neutral to WOT in gear, the boat takes off, the carburetors are doing their job. I'm assuming this is good. It doesn't flood or otherwise die.

    Hey all, boat is only running at 6mph. Throttle responds instantly going from neutral to WOT. Propeller is not spun, I just got back from checking that. Motor seems to idle well, runs great at WOT, but just wont push past 6mph. Thinking a can of seafoam could help? Also my exhaust bellows...

    My carbs don’t have an option for air gauges, I’m using a tachometer and ear to maximize rpms. Am I missing something?

    Adjusted carbs and she MOVES! I don’t think I did it right, I adjusted them all at the same time Willy nilly rather than one at a time. Sucks I can’t use gauges on my carbs I have to do it by ear and tach.

    So speaking of fuel issues, the fuel is for sure too oil rich. For sure. Got my mix wrong from some Bad advise, bud just poured a **** load in. Once I learned more I did the math and yeah there’s way too much oil in there. but it’s like 60 gallons lol, hopefully I’ll be able to burn the rich...

    Oh, I can adjust the throttle. Ahah. Okay this is everything to spec, and man it makes a difference where I keep my ear!

    Ok so here’s my timing, everything is to spec as much as I can spec. However my idle adjust screw is super useless, unless it’s the wrong bolt, or I advance my timing. Right now idle is 2000rpm out of water on muff. third video is with timing a little more advanced.

    So I got it to slow idle out on the lake and it starts up fairly easy but some times I do need to spray it. It runs for a few minutes and dies. Pretty sure carbs are adjusted well. So I went home and re-examined everything. I think my timing is still off, so I super advanced it. Now it starts...
