    Hmm, Odd. When I checked the Parts List for your engine, it says only 1 is used, then when I looked at the Parts list for an 85hp of the same year, it shows 2. The parts list for the crossflow 115 also shows only one.

    Nylon is not a good choice for a Winch Rope, as it can Stretch, so you are dealing with an Elastic Band which can store a lot of Energy. Polyethylene is a safer choice. Also avoid Polypropylene, as it too is stretchy, though not as bad as Nylon

    In 1986, I saw the Power and Torque Curves for the Standard 150 and the 1st XR2. The XR2's power peaked higher(not by much) than the Standard 150, but at a lower Rpm, and the power was dropping by the time the engine was a attaining the Rpm where it was rated at 150

    No You haven't made your 25 into a 30 by changing the Carb, the Crankcase is different between the 25 and 30(likely Porting) What's wrong with the 40? if it id okay, buy it and use it
