    I've got two MR out-drives complete and was thinking about hanging them and sand blasting and painting them. One has no corrosion at all the other does from being in a slip. Any thing I should cover, tape, or take off before I blast? thanks, Chris

    I have a mercruiser 260 I thought I'd try to fire up today. I have it mounted to my trailer for transport, hooked the pos and neg up to a battery and it cranks good but I don't think I'm getting any spark. Is there something I have to jump since I'm not plugged into the boat harness?

    idling problem

    I have a 1981 mercruiser 260 rebuilt about 30 hours ago. It runns great all the way threw throttle. When we unload it idles 800 rpm nice and smooth. if I run it hard and back out it wants to idle about 1500 rpm, then some times it wants to go low and die. Is it the carb or points? any ideas...

    Just go a new engine rebuilt all new internals high volume oil pump. I put 5.5 quarts in like manual says and it's up to the add mark. Is this normal or is my dipstick to short? Thanks in advance.
