    part #s help please?

    I need to find a couple of part #'s for my 1957 qd-14 5.5 outboard. Can't find the complete kit locally, so i need the powerhead to base gasket #, and the water pump o-ring #'s if i can find them.. The Impeller # is 18-3001..And i did order it from i-boats last week.Thanks in advance..

    forgot how it goes back together..

    I know im a dummy..I took apart my 1957 qd14 5.5 johnson, and when putting the cowling back on, i forgot how to reassamble the 2 springs, and rubber gasket where the faceplate get's attached. Also lost the 2 screws that screw into the high and low speed things toi hold the knobs on..Not like me...

    Look what i found..

    Appears to be a 1952 qd-13. Couple of issues with it, but i think she will run. Compression is 82-90 but i think it will free up good after a soaking. Took the pullstarter and flywheel off to inspect. ( flywheel was STUBBORN). Coils appear to be original. reddish in color, but not cracked...

The motor has strong blue spark, and good compression. Question is, will the short shaft be ok mounted on the transom as a kicker...
