    I am looking at a 50 HP evenrude. The seller says it has a vacuum leak between the motor and the crank case.     I am going to replace the stringers in my 14' fiberglass. What is the best wood to use? Hardwood, treated(greenplate), or some kind of marine wood. If it is marine wood should I glue several pieces of ply together or is there a 2X4 or whatever size they are? I have not yet opened up the floor...
