    It just sounds better to you in reverse !-----In reverse there is a lot of exhaust air in the prop and very little load.----So see if you have strong spark on each lead , must jump a 3/8" gap.-----Could be water in the fuel.----Running with VRO in service or 50:1 mix in the tank?

    Wires to the fuel pump are for the --" no oil "---warning only.----The fuel pump operates with a PRESSURE pulse and slight low pressure pulse from the crankcase.----Has the water pump impeller been replaced ?----And post the actual values you get from a compression test.-----VRO in service and...

    Remove the 2 narrow covers above the fuel pump in the picture.----Allows you to look at pistons / rings.

    A common mistake is to lubricate parts that should not be lubricated.----Friction is used to swing out pawls on most starters.

    See post #5----It would be a Suzuki built 1998 model.----There are 4 fuel injectors on the parts list at $312.00 each.-----Very good motors if you have a boat shop near you to work on this model.----Install a new impeller if you become the owner of it.

    They made / marketed a 9.9 / 15 HP 4 stoke in 1997 but it was carbureted.-----Post model # or picture.----That will help you.-----Now in 98 they started marketing SUZUKI built models in the 70 HP.----And in 1999 they added the Suzuki built 40 / 50 HP.

    Nope----The bottom of the rectifier is fully in contact with water.----Gasket is there to prevent water from leaking out !!

    The best way to grind aluminum is to load the wheel up with wax.----Aluminum bits then do not stick in the wheel.
