    Took the lower end off my motor. Impeller looks good, seemed to be low on gear oil. Splines all look good. My question is how easy should it be to move the shift rod up and down?

    I have this motor for a couple of months. It looks pretty clean just can't seem to keep it running. Just replaced the fuel pump but now it seems hard to shift. I can't seem to get it in neutral. Help!

    1973 Correct Craft

    I bought this boat a couple of months ago had it out a couple of times.Ran good when it ran has a fuel issue which I think is a bad gasket on the filter housing. It is a 77 Evinrude motor. My question is, this boat is rated up to 60 HP, am I too underpowered?
