    Fire Out Of Emtey Hole?

    I have a freind who just bought a boat with a 40hsp Mariner- He said when he has the top plug pulled he sees fire spit out the top cylinder when cranking ? He pulls the bottom with the top in no fire comes out the top :confused: Just starting out on this one & looking for help :(

    DeCarbing Was A Bad Thing???

    As i said in a earlier thread i checked the compression on my 1987 70hsp Johnson & the 3 clyinders varied from 135 - 150 - I just checked again after a fairly goog decarb job & all 3 dropped compression but now all 3 are at almost exactly 120 :confused: Is this good or bad???

    Replace Original Decals?

    I've done all the searchs i know but cant find any replacement decals for my Starcraft- I need the "Texas Thruster" part - The side shown is in pretty good shape but the other side is completly gone :( I'd like to keep it basicly original if possible - Any ideas? Thanks & BTW it's a 1987--

    Compression Question

    I'm starting to get a 1987 70hsp Johnson going - I checked the compression & the top showed 130 - middle 145 & lower 135 - Is it worth fixing up? It came on the 16' Starcraft pictured I want to fix up I bought for $1000- was told it had about 30hrs on a rebuild but you know how that goes...
