Bone headed move - put the plug in with 3M 4200

That is probably the best idea. Sounds so much easier and less risky.

Bone headed move - put the plug in with 3M 4200

Hmm that seems like it might be easier though a bit less safe than my idea of a heat gun. My original idea was a heat gun and then heat up a metal wire/pin and stick it though the 4200 to make holes and eventually break through it enough I could twist it out.

Bone headed move - put the plug in with 3M 4200

I'm not sure where I'd even look for that. Assuming I could, how would I use it?

Bone headed move - put the plug in with 3M 4200

This spring I was in a scramble to get the boat ready by the launch date I had to be at the marina so not thinking I grabbed what I had in the garage to keep the plug in and ended up using 3M 4200 to put in the drain plug. I am now trying to figure out how I am going to remove it. Any ideas...

Engine oil kit - first time

I'm glad I posted here. I got down to the boat tonight and I checked it is the 10W30 not the other I had found. Ordered the kit mentioned to me above.

Engine oil kit - first time

This is what my engine looks like. It looks very close to the Verados. Maybe I made a mistake? I can find the serial number tomorrow if needed.

Engine oil kit - first time

I went looking online to see what I could get that is cheaper. I could not find much. At best I could do is save $5 on everything by driving 2 places and ordering 1 thing online.

Engine oil kit - first time

I have a 2019 Mercury 225XL 3.4L V6 that I am prepping to do winterization on. I am trying to find the right stuff to do a winterization and think a kit makes the most sense for the first attempt. I found this kit on Amazon.ca and am trying to ensure it is correct.

Too much wind and rain in my face

Ah yeah need much colder than that to freeze salt water. I would love to boat salt water sometimes. The rivers and lakes get very repetitive

Too much wind and rain in my face

You must be a bit further south than I am. Around here most years the river and lakes freeze over by early January

Too much wind and rain in my face

A DC is something I might consider for my next boat. I found when I looked that few of them actually had made their way to the Canadian used market but I am seeing more now.

Too much wind and rain in my face

Finally got a design nailed down with a local shop. In the fall I am going to be taking it in. He is going to work with my existing front cover adding a zipper, making wings that can either attach to the front cover or smaller panels to go directly to the deck, wings will go 6 inches before the...

Too much wind and rain in my face

That would be perfect! I think that is even the same style in general as I have for piping and windshield. Guessing that is more than likely a custom job?

I've been doing the mask and goggles, was hoping for something more permanent.

Too much wind and rain in my face

I do have a hard top and no pictures of it that show the windshield well. It has a windshield and a metal frame for the hard top.

Too much wind and rain in my face

I have a smaller CC (21ft - Blackfin 212CC) which has a tiny windshield. I think If I made it a bit bigger I could go out on more rain or windy days. I'm not sure what I could do to make it a bit bigger to deflect more wind/rain out of my face. Does anyone have any ideas?

Upgrading the whole electronics package minus chart plotters

Thanks on the reed switch type sender, I will look that up a bit more but a cursory look says that is it. Currently for fuel tracking all I get is the GPH to 1 decimal place. I unless I am actively looking at it I can't tell. I'd love some way to get that data into a more usable format for...

Upgrading the whole electronics package minus chart plotters

I have a 21.5ft center console that I am trying to outfit in a way to allow to be cruise longer distances with less work so I can make fishing a single day trip not a 2. Currently some trips are so long that I am tired by the time I get to fish. I boat/fish in the St Lawerence River and in...
