Telltale stream and exhaust water flow amounts on Yamaha 2000 200hp Saltwater series 2 stroke

ALWAYS do a water pump service with a complete kit.NEVER do impeller only. Then labor is the same either way. Cheaping out on parts of that nature could lead to catastrophe.Charlie

I have to duct tape my muffs onto my Yamaha to get a telltale stream when running on muffs to prevent water loss.I also fill the motor with fresh water thru the flush port prior to running on muffs so you are starting out with the motor full of water. If Suzuki is anything like Yamaha...they dont...

This is my 1st Yamaha motor.I have had Evinrudes my entire life.Grady White didn't find it necessary to have a temp gage or water pressure gage and I dont really like not having a visual warning gage. When I got the new to me boat with Yamaha ,the telltale was a medium flow of cool water and...

Lower unit impeller, metal sleeve or no sleeve??

I see more and more impellers over the years eliminating the metal sleeve and going with completely rubber one piece design.Mercruiser,Yamaha etc.The logical reason I can see is cost.No metal has to cost less to produce.I have avoided the non metal sleeve impellers but recently have heard a very...

    Getting a Generator,which brand??

Don't know who makes the engine but read some very good reviews on the Mitsu stating it was quiet and on par with Yamaha and Honda. I doubt that is really the case, Charlie

Looking for reviews on 2009 Bayliner 175

I think for that size boat that an outboard would be a much better choice.Especially for your planned usage. The Bayliner is not a very dry boat, quite wet as a matter of fact.Charlie
