    Unscrew that square piece you have circled, there is one on the other side as well. The cable just slides out.

    I didn't take the cable off, just greased the ram. It really wasn't bad, not frozen just... Noticeable. Tough access back there, we have a spare cable on deck if need be. *completely stripping donor boat FTW*

    Getting closer. Took apart the trim pump motor. Didn't look terrible until I got to the brushes, which were corroded in place. Back together, connections cleaned, trim now working.     Yes, ethanol will dissolve a bit of water and keep it from accumulating on the bottom of the tank. Even merc has said e10 is fine to use since the 80s.
