    Total nonsense...if cylinder one is at 800 RPM the others will be also. Any adjustment that raise/lowers a RPM will effect ALL cylinders. Thats like saying on a V-8 you can adjust 1 bank to idle at different RPM than the other with the carb mix screw...total hogwash

    That motor is scrap material.. even if you got it free the rust pits in cylinder walls and damaged crank make it too expensive to dink with.

    None of the reman companies I know of even offer a 2.4 anymore...best bet is to find a older 2.4L Xr4 power head if possible. From the prices I have seen for a reman powerheads you may be better to part it out and buy a complete running 2.5 as prices are close to same.
