Trailer Question - want to drill a new hole into the frame to move crossbar supporting wobble roller

Those furthest to the rear rollers need to be right at the transom edge !! On my boat the rollers at the back are about centered on the transom edge when bow is tight against the stop...this is how it should be... Winch stands are typically adjustable, so get the boat in the correct position...

    got me a new boat!

My 1983 had a steel tank...you don't want one of those for rusting reasons !! Mine has a 24 gallon aluminum tank under the passenger seat with no issues. Added a deck fill on the gunnel. Plastic is better than a steel tank if that is what yours came with!!

    Delta Dawn- ‘72 Chieftain

Give the bottom a really good cleaning, any weak areas will need an aluminum patch riveted over that spot. Small pinholes can be covered with " goop" exterior hull coating, an epoxy based coating that contains fibers to plug and seal small pinholes. Great reviews !! Just need to be sure weak...

Trailer Question - want to drill a new hole into the frame to move crossbar supporting wobble roller

It appears that the section with the rollers slides into a larger area...is that adjustable?? Mabey just sliding it forward would work ?? However, if you need to drill a new hole I don't see it being an issue. As far as tongue weight, there are a number of ways to create more tongue...

Automatic bilge pump brands using non-mechanical sensing?

I have always used mechanical switches on bilge pumps with no issues in over 30 years. My last boat had Sahara pumps with built in float switches and they worked perfect for the 6 years I used them

    RPM Too High?

On my small boat, I typically prop it to run 100-200 rpm over when alone with a light load....I do watch my tach !! This works better when I have passengers or extra weight. Have done this to all my boats and get better performance overall. Over propping and lugging under load can cause other...

Automatic bilge pump brands using non-mechanical sensing?

The auto sensing units use far more battery power than a mechanical switch powered pump. If your battery goes dead in a week or two, perhaps you should control how much water is getting in to start with....

    1995 40 HP trigger removal?

That is why no one recomends the aftermarket manuals! Factory service manuals often give the tips and tricks to make the job easier...If I buy something new, I order the manual, but if used, I often find a used factory manual on Ebay.. No idea why the type went bold !!

    E10 and old 2-stroke engines?

The 90's model will already be set up for E10 fuels, the eighties models should have fuel hoses changed over, but in reality, they should have been changed years back because fuel lines are only good for about ten years. So if the hoses were changed at that interval they would/ should be E10...
