    Ayuh,....... Get yerself a bar of Lava hand soap,..... With the motor idlin', find a spot where you can safely hold the bar of Lava against the ribbed side of the belt, 'n rub it right in for 'bout 10 seconds,.... There's a good chance the chirp will be gone,....

    Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... If the clutch is stripped out, yer seein' the results, 'n ya, it's the clutch that holds it up,..... Btw,..... It's a Tilt, 'n tilt only,..... If you use it for Trim, you'll ruin the ball gears, 'n the tilt clutch,.....

    Ayuh,..... The feed wire for the accessory panel can pull off either side of the master cut-off switch,..... The battery side will be Always hot, 'n the starter side will be switched power,....

    Ayuh,..... Ya need a Ft. or more access behind the motor to change the coupler,.... 'n that's a bare minimum, if there isn't more "Boat" in the way,..... Build a bridge from gunnel, to gunnel for a lift point,...... ;)

    Ayuh,...... I agree with this, but will add a long shot idea,..... Do a leak down test to rule out seriously burnt valves as a possibility for the loss of compression,.... After all, a head job is alot less work than a full on motor rebuild,....
