    the step is completely personal choice imo, in addition to having enough space if going level. Folks have level, I have half riser step.

    leftover chicken fajitas make a great omelet. Added a good amount of cotija cheese and topped with the leftover queso dip and spicy tomatillo sauce. Still have a couple tomatoes popping thru the sad looking vines.

    when in doubt, go 12". unless deck is absurdly huge the cost isn't much more especially if spending the $ on trex. My small deck is 7.5' run and I have 12's on 12"oc.

    we had our 8x8 post wrapped on our sunporch. dude did it on one piece and the seam was an inch in from the corner, looked fine for the couple years it was up until we closed it in to make the sunroom. of course it you are going to lift roof to cut spacer in just remove the whole thing and...

    have a gutter/soffit place and have them wrap in aluminum ONLY after you have put in a spacer underneath the current 4x4's. Home Depot et al will have them in plastic or galvanized. Water wicking from contact @ the concrete up will kill them and the spacer ensures that will not happen and...
