    since you are mixing and matching generations of parts, you cant go off of the parts lists from mercruiser. your accessory drive pulleys may need a 7 gauge (3/16") spacer made because the 96 and later motor has a different balancer than the 95 and earlier This will help on the base engine side...

    if a thief wants your motor, they will take it, regardless of locks or bolts just south of me in Lee county, they will steel the whole boat, drag it about a mile down the road, then strip it in under 15 minutes using saws to cut the tansom

    most likely the exhaust manifold is shot (really common on the pinto motor based OMG offering) hold on to your shorts when you find out what that NLA bit of hardware will cost you.

    you went thru the effort of buying a new wrong block and heads. why not buy the correct block and heads? 30hp is a concern a running used 1996 or later vortec headed 4.3 is under $200 from the local pull-your-part salvage yard.

    dont know. thats up to you to look. doubt you will find a 19 foot tiller boat, most will come with remote steering and controls. you would be better off looking at a blue fin or other brand of boat vs an early 80's boat with rotten stringers/transom/etc.

    yep, same one I posted prior. BTW, if you order from From flow GM, it will take a while. your better off on oemcats.com, finding which GM distributors have the parts in stock and call them directly. gmpartsdirect (Flow GM) is slow as hell in filling orders
