    Nobody fishing?

    Nephew and his buddy are coming up this weekend, we are going to be more mobil this time and see if we can find some active pike during the day, and sit in a fish house and crappie fish at night. Weather should be mild, hopefully the forecast hold and the winds are calm.

    They make an ice fishing live well now. You drill a hole put in the net fish are swimming, I use a minnow bucket aerator to prevent iceing over.

    After 20 years of lake boating, tried something completely different

    I was blessed, and cursed to be the first mate whenever my Dad wanted his Carver framed from Pickwick TN to Bradenton. Tell you what the thrill wears off at least for me. I prefer a simple boat over a floating RV any day.

    It will long be over before I board the plane at 6 pm Sunday. Plus it will be fun deal with snow in Tampa then fly to Minneapolis and then drive home in a real snow storm

    I am going to go sit on that bench shortly have a few beers and watch the Manatee River empty into the Gulf of America. I know my Mom would not approve of me having morning beers, her ashes are close by the bench but at least I am visiting.
