    Re: whitch hole Do you have Tilt and Trim??? If so place the tilt rod in the lowest setting and adjust T&T as needed after plane. Normally trim rods are easily removed and moved w/o tools........ is you rod the proper one or has it been replaced?? It should look like this (and no washers)
