    The internet is working great on all of our other devices, download speed of 650 meg and up at 11 meg. Good stuff. Over a terabyte at the interface outside. Just my laptop has the issue.

    Yah, that was done, but no joy. Today I'm going to buy a Wi-Fi dongle to see if that will work as a temporary fix. I have serious stuff to get done and it's difficult to do with just a phone. 🤞

    Found the problem. The network adapter has failed. All done. :cautious: I ordered a cheap, refurbished replacement laptop until such time that I can order a brand new shiny one. (y)

    Nah, it's been operating fine for years. This has been a sudden change regarding getting onto the internet. And it can still play videos from the hard drive and whatnot. Off internet stuff is fine. I'm guessing that there's a wifi hardware issue.

    I previously used Google Chrome as my browser, but I tried accessing a few websites with Edge and it's just as slow as it was when I used Chrome before. Not good.

    Sad news, everyone. My computer is still really, really slow getting onto the internet. The problem wasn't fixed. Still investigating.

    The computer is very busy in the background doing stuff. I'll leave it alone for awhile until it's done. The PC reset obviously removed all of the programs and other stuff I installed. Some of those I paid for. I'm not exactly sure what I'll do about that. The video editing software was pricey.

    High this morning was 74. 63 now. Gonna keep dropping till we're down in the 30s. Tomorrow's high should be around 50.

    Second system restore using a different restore point didn't work either. I'm doing a PC Reset now. It's the last resort before a big hammer and a new computer.

    I'm in real trouble now. During the restore, it stopped and said there is a problem with the device, so it ran repair... then said it can't be repaired. I'm going round and round with it and can't get anywhere. Definitely in trouble. Here's where I am. Again.

    Yeah, I've been planning on doing that before the Oct 25th Win 10 cutoff date. Funding for a new computer isn't available at the moment though.
